[continue reading] Special - Water Levels Newsletter Fall 2011 Property Owners, An organized property association can serve many functions – from providing a collective and recognized voice to our government, and promoting a healthy community environment for all neighbours. An organized Association offers a public forum where issues dealing with the well-being of our lake environment, properties and community are heard and appropriate actions taken. We recognize that there are likely to be many issues of interest and concern that will develop over time. It is the intention of the Association to represent it’s members on all mutual concerns. We encourage you to bring your ideas forward so that we can all continue to enjoy Horseshoe Lake as a community. The Horseshoe Lake Association (HLA) is also a member of FOCA (Federation of Ontario Cottage Associations), the largest cottagers federation in Canada. As such, it’s members are an integral part of a provincial network of active, informed, well-connected stakeholders with a powerful, respected voice. Your membership is an investment in your property. On behalf of the Executive and our members, we hope you’ll support us in this endeavour. Fletch Keating , President p.s.
